-Autotroph- Makes its own food
-Hetertroph- Has to find its own food
-Homeostasis- Stays the same
-Aristotle’s classification- Three colums: fly, swim, walk crawl run
-Linnaeu’s classification system- Two names: genus, species
-Binomial nomenclature- Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Specius
-Cell- The basic part of living
-Stimulus- The variable that was changed
-Response- The reaction to the Stimulus
-Controlled experiment- An experiment in wich all factors are identical except one
-Manipulated variable- The factor that is changed during the experiment
-Spontaneous generation- The mistakin idea that living things arise from nonliving sources
